Description

In the event of a trailer detaching from the tow vehicle, safety chains have a limited ability to keep heavier trailers (2500kg+) under control while coming to a stop. The Trailparts™ Breakaway switch is activated during a vehicle separation and electronically engages the trailer brakes bringing it to a stand still.
